Malala Yousafzai features on the cover of Teen Vogue

The teenage Nobel Peace Prize winner Malala Yousafzai has been featured on Teen Vogue's final cover of the decade.

Malala Yousafzai, the youngest Peace Prize winner, education activist, author of “I Am Malala” and founder of the Malala Fund, devoted to raising money for education programs, revealed to Teen Vogue that she has struggled with depression and other mental health issues.

In an interview with the magazine, the Pakistani activist said that youth is rising up and speaking out about the issues important to them, and that's what she's hoping for the future. She has also talked about her struggles in her life and her mental health issues.

She also opened up that she struggled with depression on her road to healing and recovery, mentally and physically — and that social media can take its toll on her too.

Malala also predicted that just as the previous 10 years saw a rise in youth activism worldwide, the next 10 are going to be about youth making tangible change. “That's what gives me hope,” she said.

On her social media account, she mentions,  “There are hundreds and thousands of women and girls in all parts of the world who are standing up. Some of them we don't even know — their names would never be known — but they're changing their communities.” Thank you, @teenvogue for sharing our stories in the last decade
