YouTube Introduces shopping ads
YouTube has officially introduced shopping ads that allow brands and businesses to visually advertise their products and services.
The new shopping ads will be placed both on the YouTube home feed and the search results, thus allowing brands to gain more visibility on the platform, Forbes news reported.
The first-ever brand to test out this new advertising platform is Puma. Therefore, if you search for anything related to sneakers, you will likely see a bunch of ads related to Puma sneakers, YouTube is also introducing new changes such as the improvement of video ads and new extensions for TrueView for action ads that will guide users to different landing pages.
The video ads will now be more interactive in the sense of providing more actionable steps and information such as store locations, links, and calls to action. This improvement is expected to increase the overall responsiveness to ads and boost conversion rates.
