Ex-PM Sharif departs for London for medical treatment
Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, on board an air ambulance, left Lahore for London on Tuesday for medical treatment.
The air ambulance is equipped with a fully functional and staffed intensive care unit and operation theater.
The development comes a day after interior ministry issued a notification, allowing one time waiver to former Prime Minister to fly abroad for a period of four weeks on medical grounds.
Earlier, Lahore High Court on Saturday had given directions to remove the name of Nawaz Sharif from exit control list.
Opposition leader in the National Assembly Shahbaz Sharif and Nawaz Sharif's personal Physician Dr Adnan Khan and paramedical staff are accompanying the former Prime Minister.
