McDonald's CEO fired after dating employee
McDonald's has fired its CEO, Steve Easterbrook after he had a relationship with an employee.
According to the food giant, CEO Steve Easterbrook demonstrated poor judgment when he had a consensual relationship with an employee.
The company's rules for managers prohibit them from becoming romantically involved with a subordinate.
Steve Easterbrook had sent an email to his staff, acknowledging the relationship and admitting that it was a mistake.
“Given the values of the company, I agree with the board that it is time for me to move on,” Steve said.
Steve started working at McDonald’s in early 90s as a manager before working his way up the company. He was appointed the chief executive of McDonald's in 2015
