Senate Chairman discusses Kashmir situation with Chinese envoy

ISLAMABAD: Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani on Friday met the Chinese Ambassador Yao Jing to discuss the current situation of Kashmir and bilateral affairs.

During a meeting, the senate chairman said that Pakistan and China are on the same page on Kashmir issue.

“We will not let India rule over Kashmiris,” Sanjrani said, “The whole world is condemning India’s decision of revoking special status of Kashmiris.”

“China proved itself as a time-tested and a trusted friend of Pakistan,” Sanjrani maintained.

“Pakistan-China economic partnership will provide the special status to the region,” he added.

Senate Chairman said that China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) is the hope of better region of the future with peace, development and growth of the economy.

“Government’s decision to set-up the CPEC authority will speed-up the development projects,” Sanjrani said.

He said that we will work on to cement the parliamentary relations between the two countries for the promotion of economic cooperation.

Chinese envoy Yao Jing said that Pakistan is the old and exceptional friend of China. “China condemned the Indian atrocities in Kashmir,” he added.

Yao Jing urged the international community to play its role in stopping human rights abuse in Kashmir and raised their voices for the protection of Kashmiri people.

“Pakistan and China are standing with their decision on Kashmir,” the Chines envoy said.
