ISLAMABAD: The government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has recruited 1500 policemen for the security of the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).

A spokesman of the provincial government told Radio Pakistan that government is spending more than Rs 1bn for the purchase of necessary training equipment for the force.

Similarly, two thousand and five hundred more policemen will be recruited soon, he added.

The force will be properly trained and equipped with latest weapons to secure the CPEC route.— APP
