Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leaders have said those demanding resignation of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif should first read the report of Joint Investigation Team (JIT).

Minister of State for Capital Administration and Development Division Tariq Fazal Chaudhary while addressing a news conference along with MNA Daniyal Aziz here on Saturday said that PML-N is united under the leadership of Mian Nawaz Sharif.

Tariq Fazal Chaudhary said the jurisdiction of JIT was to investigate the ownership of London flats but it worked beyond its ambit and started investigation against the Sharif family and its personal businesses. He said that JIT could not find even a single proof of corruption or tax evasion during the last thirty-five year political career of Nawaz Sharif and twenty years of Shahbaz Sharif's era when they were holding public offices. He said there is no evidence of money laundering and tax evasion in JIT report.

Tariq Fazal Chaudhry said the PML-N parliamentary party has expressed unwavering support to the Prime Minister and voiced complete confidence in his leadership. Daniyal Aziz said that the remarks in the report against the Prime Minister are based on mere speculations instead of evidence. He said the words like "most likely" and "seems" have been used to declare Prime Minister owner of the flats and this is not acceptable.

He questioned why JIT did not record the statement of the Qatari Prince who was an important and prime witness, adding that the most important part has been ignored in the report. He further said nothing has been proved yet, thus demanding resignation of PM is not acceptable.
