Member of the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) on the Panama probe Irfan Mangi responded to a show cause notice issued by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Saturday.

Irfan Mangi has requested NAB in his reply to keep the notice pending or to withdraw it till the probe for the Panama case is completed. He said he is busy fulfilling duties with the probe team. "I have investigation experience of 14 years before joining the NAB and also honoured with three gold medals over performance," he said in his reply.

Mangi's response contained his several achievements. He said he bagged first position both in the Sindh Public Service Commission (1992) and the Federal Public Service Commission.

He also gave a copy of his reply to the JIT head and Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Additional Director General, Wajid Zia. On April 25, 2017, he was issued a show cause notice by NAB stating that he is incompetent for the JIT job and recommending another official for the purpose.
