LAYYAH: A man allegedly killed four daughters, a minor son and later attempted suicide at Chak 341-TDA in Tehsil Chowk Azam Wednesday night.

According to police, Tariq Arain had been facing domestic problems since long that led him to divorce his wife around a year ago. He had also been facing disputes with brother and other family members over the issue of taking care of his children.

Last night, he gave poison to all five children that caused their death. Later, he himself also consumed poison and was admitted to DHQ hospital in serious condition.

Those killed included daughters-- Tayyaba (15), Tanzeela (12), Shanza (7), Saba (6), and a four year old son Tayyab.Chowk Azam Police said, they were investigating the incident. -APP
