Ministers’ statements irk Khursheed, Qureshi
Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly Syed Khursheed Ahmed Shah has urged the NA Speaker Ayaz Sadiq during a telephonic conversation that federal ministers must be asked not to make controversial statements.
Aaj News on Saturday reported that Shah talked to the NA Speaker by phone after Shah Mehmood Qureshi of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf lodged a complaint with him against the ministers' statements.
Qureshi telephoned Shah and shared his concerns with him on the controversial statements of some ministers of the PML-N government. Shah told Ayaz Sadiq that talks would remain fruitless if the ministers continue to demonstrate this attitude.
Speaker Ayaz Sadiq requested Shah to attend the session on Monday but Shah excused saying that due to fractured leg, he could not be able to attend the session. However, Khursheed Shah asked Syed Naveed Qamar to call the meeting of Opposition members.
