WEB DESK: Spain has adopted a different sort of habit for years. The families over there, do not simple throw away caps of plastic bottles but they prefer to save them and the question is Why? Why they are doing it for years?

It was started right after the birth of a little girl Aitana Garcia. She was born with a complex heart disease which was only curable in the United States of America (USA). The treatment of little girl was undoubtedly expensive so the parents of Aitana referred to TV. The things were changed for better when a plastic processing plant agreed for the treatment but in exchange of 200 tons of plastic bottle caps.

Moreover, right after that, people begun to collect plastic bottle caps. The boxes were installed at markets, government offices and even in sports clubs. Thus, 200 tons of caps were collected just in months and the treatment was made possible.

The cause was noticed and now a whole project has been set up in collaboration with recycling companies and the money gathered from it, is utilized to save lives of children. Therefore, the people simply not ready to through away caps but they save them in plastic bags or boxes so that they can be used for such great cause.
