Long legs
It is a perception that longer legs are attractive. There was not any authentic researches in this regard. However, according to a study published in (2008)'s journal Evolution and Human Behavior long legs indicate good nutrition and enhanced fertility.
Short legs and longer upper bodyÂ
If your legs are shorter as compare to the upper body then there are chances of coronary heart disease. According to a study done in 2001, published in Journal of Epidemiology & Community Health has found that people with shorter legs have 10 percent chances of coronary heart disease.
Chunky thighsÂ
The people with not very slim thighs may live a long and healthy life. In 2006, a study published in British medical journal, suggests that about 24.4 inches thigh circumference was actually protective against any heart disease and early death for men and women both where as bigger thighs are less protective. However, thinner thighs may not have any protective function. According to The Telegraph, professor Berit Heitmann said,"The slim or thinner figure has more risks than someone with an average size body".
Stocky legsÂ
Stocky or thick legs are a physical warning sign of liver disease. The researchers firmly believe on that childhood nutrition influences growth patterns as well as development of liver in adulthood. Along with this, people with thicker legs have more chances of diabetes types two.
Painful legs
Feeling cramps at thighs or calves while walking or climbing stairs or may be while exercising could be indication of peripheral artery disease (PAD) which is cause by hard arteries in the circulatory system. This PAD related pain often feels, when a person stops workout but continuous pain is a sign of severe PAD, claim American Heart Association. This condition usually occurs in the arteries that carry blood to arms and legs. Also, the risk factors for PAD includes diabetes, smoking, high cholesterol and high blood pressure.
