Rao Anwar has been reinstated as senior superintendent of police Malir, according to a notification issued on Friday. 

Aaj News reported on Friday that Rao Anwar was reinstated and the incumbent SSP Malir Javed Akbar Riaz has been transferred to the Forensic Division.

Rao Anwar was suspended as SSP Malir he arrested Opposition Leader in Sindh Assembly Khawaja Izharul Hassan in September 2016.

Sindh's PPP government that had put him under suspension for that arrest, has reinstated him.
