Recipe of the day: Khao Suey
- For Mince:
- Chicken Mince 1 kg
- Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
- Red Chili powder 1 tbsp
- Turmeric powder 1 tsp
- All spice powder 1 tsp
- Salt to taste
- Oil 1 cup
- For Curry:
- Coconut Cream Powder 2 packet
- Gram Flour 2 tbsp
- Curry leaves few
- Salt to taste
- Water 2 glass
- For Noodles:
- Noodles 1 pack
- Samosa strips (deep fried till crisp) as required
- Onion 2
- Spring onion 2 bunch
- Green chili 10
- Fresh coriander 2 bunch
- Lemon 8
- Garlic cloves 25 gm
- Red chili 2 tbsp (crushed)
- Carom seeds 1 tsp
Cooking Directions
- Heat oil in a pan, add chicken mince meat, and ginger garlic paste, red chili powder, turmeric powder, all spice powder and salt.
- Mix well and let it cook on low heat.
- When liquid dries, sauté and take it out.
- For Curry: In a blender add coconut cream powder, water and gram flour, whisk them well until the gram flour has dissolved.
- Now in a pan, add blended mixture and curry leaves, allow it to boil for a few minutes and turn off the flame.
- Let it cool and then add salt.
- For Noodles: Toast carom seeds and red chili flakes on a dry griddle.
- Take a deep plate, place a single layer of mince, top generously with boiled noodles.
- Then add roasted red chili flakes, roasted carom seeds, chopped onions, spring onions, green chilies, fresh coriander and lemon juice, one on top of the other as per preference.
- Top it with a layer of karhi, fried samosa strips and chopped garlic.
- Khowsuey is ready to serve.
