Recipe of the day: Aloo Gosht
- Mutton ½ kg
- Potato 4
- Turmeric powder 1 ½ tsp
- Onion 2 (finely chopped)
- Red chili powder 1 tbsp
- Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
- Salt to taste
- Oil ½ cup
- Yogurt ½ cup
- Green chili 2
- All Spice powder 1 tsp
- Fresh coriander leaves ½ bunch (chopped)
- Green chilies 2 (chopped)
Cooking Directions
- Peel potatoes and cut them into pieces.
- Mix ½ tsp turmeric powder with water and soak the potato pieces in it.
- In a pan heat oil, add mutton, onion, ginger garlic, 1 tsp turmeric powder, red chili powder, salt and 2 cups of hot water.
- Cook till water dries and meat tenders.
- Then add in yogurt and pieces of potatoes and stir fry.
- Now add 2 cup of water, cover and simmer for 10 minutes.
- When the oil separates, add in all spice powder, fresh coriander leaves and chopped green chilies and keep it on a low flame.
- Serve it hot with naan.
