QUETTA: The provincial assembly of Balochistan unanimously passed three bills including for rehabilitation of victims of terrorism, compulsory education and Food Authority, respectively and two resolutions.

The assembly session met here under the chairmanship of Speaker Mir Jan Muhammad Khan Jamali.

Home Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti moved Balochistan Financial Aid and Rehabilitation of victims of Terrorism Bill 2014 that was unanimously passed by the house.

Advisor to the Chief Minister on Education, Sardar Raza Muhammad Baraich tabled Balochistan Compulsory Education Bill 2014 and the lawmakers adopted it unanimously.

Minister for Food, Mir Izhar Khoso moved the Balochistan Food Authority Bill 2014 that was also passed by the legislators unanimously.

Provincial Ministers Abdul Rahim Ziaratwal and Dr. Hamid Khan Achakzai and MPAs including Nasrullah Khan Zeray, Manzoor Ahmed Kakar and Masooma Hayat tabled resolution that reads: "The Balochistan province comprises of 43 percent of total land of the country and hundreds of airplanes of international air services pass over the province daily. These air services pay air service charges to the federal government but Balochistan is not given its share from it. Therefore, the house recommends the provincial government to approach the federal government asking it to pay the share to Balochistan".

Another resolution was moved by provincial ministers-Mir Izhar Hussain Khosa, Sardar Sarfaraz Chakar Domki, Abdul Rahim Ziaratwal, Sardar Mustafa Tareen, Mir Sarfaraz Bugti, Mir Majid Abro, and Advisor to Chief Minister Sardar Raza Muhammad Baraich and Haji Muhammad Akbar Askani and MPAs-Mir Aamir Rind and Haji Muhammad Khan that said, "Sohbaput, Jaffarabad and Nasirabad districts are agriculture rich districts and has status of backbone in the agriculture production of the province. These areas contribute to the need of the country and the province pertaining to wheat, rice and cotton while the local people depend on agriculture sector for their livelihood. This region is deprived of agriculture university causing sense of deprivation among local people. The house recommends the provincial government to establish an agriculture university in the region".

The speaker put the two resolutions to the house that passed them unanimously. Speaking on point of order in the house, Home Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti said that 13 bodies recovered from a grave in Totak area of Khuzdar district have been shifted to Khuzdar Civil Hospital where their DNA test would be conducted.

"On receiving information about the dumping of the bodies, Deputy Commissioner Khuzdar along with Levies Force reached the site and shifted the bodies to Civil Hospital Khuzdar and their DNA test would be conducted soon," he said.

Provincial Information Minister Abdul Rahim Ziaratwal on behalf of Advisor to the Chief Minister on Fisheries moved Balochistan Fisheries (Amended) Bill 2014 that was given exemption from Balochistan Assembly Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business.

Later, the Speaker adjourned the house till January 29.
