Karachi Stock Exchange closes higher
KARACHI: Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE) 100 index closed higher on Thursday having 27064.34 shares with a positive change of 49.22 and volume of 248,174,520 shares.
High and Low were 27204.55 and 26997.86 respectively. Total volume traded in the market was 399,931,950 shares with 428 total traded companies out of which 227 were up, 188 were down and 13 were unchanged.
Construction and Materials (Cement) was the top traded sector with total traded volume of 107,178,900 shares. It was followed by Commercial Banks with a total traded volume of 63,814,400 shares.
The three top traded companies were Lafarge Pak. with a volume of 37,141,500 and price per share of 11.09 (0.69), Fauji Cement with a volume 20,941,000 of price per share of 16.37 (0.20), Faysal Bank with a volume 20,349,500 of price per share of 13.99 (0.59).
The top three advancers were Nestle Pak.with price per share 10745.68 (412.71), Rafhan Maize with price per share of 7875.00 (110.00) and Island Textile share of 1356.07 (64.57).
The top three decliners were Wyeth Pak Ltd with price per share of 5000.01 (-190.47), Indus Dyeing with price per share of 1197.92 (-52.08) and Bata (Pak) per share of 3474.50 (-20.50).
