Funeral prayers of six policemen of Charsadda blast held
PESHAWAR: The funeral prayer of six policemen killed in a deadly bomb blast on their mobile van in Charsadda district was held at Police Lines.
The funeral prayer of constables Azam, Khawaja Muhammad, Kashif, Wisal, Akram Gul and Gul Shah was attended besides others by former Senior Minister and parliamentary leader of Qumi Watan Party at KP Assembly, Sikandar Hayat Khan Sherpao, DIG Mardan division, Saeed Khan Wazir, lawmakers, police officers, relatives and elites of the City in large number.
The smartly contingent of Charsadda police presented solute to the coffin of the martyred police cops. Later, their bodies were shifted to the native villages for burial. Strict security arrangements were made by Police on this occasion.
It may be recalled that six policemen and a child was killed and eleven others injured when a powerful remote control bomb fitted in a bicycle blasted near a police mobile van at Seri Dheri area in Charsadda district on Wednesday.
The injured are being treated at Charsadda District Headquarter Hospital and Lady Reading Hospital, Peshawar.
