KP chief minister's failure to visit Aitzaz's residence irks Imran

The Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan Sunday expressed disappointment over the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government as Chief Minister Pervez Khattak did not go to Aitzaz Hasan's residence for condolence soon after his death. Talking to media persons after condoling on the death of PTI leader Neelam Ashraf's son here, Imran Khan said that Hangu's student Aitzaz Hasan set example of bravery and his party will support his family.

Aitzaz Hassan, 17, tackled the bomber as he tried to enter a government school in Hangu.Aitzaz and the bomber died but no other student or staff was hurt.

The PTI chief said extremism was increasing in Punjab and the whole Pakistan in the reaction of US drone attacks. He said the PTI government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will never restore the Nato supplies till the end of drone attacks. He said the drone attacks always prove counterproductive and increase militancy and extremism.

He said the dollar-hungry rulers did not care for the common man. He said the rulers are not willing to offend the US by asking them to stop drone attacks.

Imran also criticised the performance of Punjab police. He said Neelam Ashraf's son was killed in broad daylight while the SPP Tariq Aziz declared the murder as suicide without any post-mortem. He demanded removal of SSP Tariq Aziz. He said appointments in Punjab Police were not made on merit and the political interference also increased the crimes rate.

He said Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was most affected from terrorism and 172 terrorist attacks have been reported in the province during last one year. On the other hand, he said, 103 terror incidents were reported in all other three provinces during the last year.

Imran said the rulers are not serious in holding the local bodies' elections and are coming up with new excuses every day.
