Low gas pressure irks residents of Airport Housing Society
ISLAMABAD: Low gas pressure has aggravated the problems of the residents of various areas of twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad, particularly Airport Housing Society, Iqbal Town who are getting extremely low gas pressure during day time for the last two weeks.
Sania, a resident of Airport Housing Society, Sector III, said the gas pressure had been low in her area, forcing the people to use alternative fuels like LPG for preparing food.
"Gas is not available sepecially at morning and evening and we are unable even to cook the food", said her neighbour, Mrs.Saman, while talking to this agency.
"We have to arrange ready made breakfasts for our childern".
The situation is aggravating day by day," said Ali Murtaza, a resident of Sector IV, Airport Society.
He said that due to low gas pressure, people could not use gas heaters in their houses, especially when CNG stations are open, women are not able to cook food".
The residents demanded the Sui Northern Gas Piplines to supply gas to all the areas of the twin cities on equal basis.
