IHC dismisses request to bar Musharraf from leaving Pakistan
ISLAMABAD: Supreme Court has dropped off the request of Musharraf to exit out from Pakistan on any circumstances.
The petition filed by Shohada Foundation through Tariq Asad Advocate stated to bar former president from leaving the country as several cases against him were still pending in the court.
During today’s proceedings, Justice Shaukat Aziz remarked that it is the job of the courts -that provided bail to Musharraf- to ensure his appearance. He could not exit from the country without the permission of the court.
He further said that they could not interfere in the jurisdiction of Special Court, constituted to hear treason case against Musharraf.
