LHC takes notice of woman’s murder
LAHORE: The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Thursday took notice of killing of a woman for giving birth to six daughters by her husband.
The Complaint Cell directed the District & Sessions Judge, Sheikhupura to look into the matter and submit a detailed report regarding steps taken by the local police along with his own comments.
The Complaint Cell took notice on a news wherein it was reported that accused Amir, who had a son as well, was annoyed with his wife for giving birth to six daughters.
After an exchange of hot words over the issue, Amir got infuriated and shot his wife dead.
Police said the accused had already drowned his 10-day-old daughter in a bucket which his wife did not report to police in fear of her husband.
Police had registered a case against Amir and arrested him who confessed to his crime.
LHC Complaint Cell took notice and directed the concerned D&SJ to look into the matter and submit report within a week.
