KARACHI: On the eve of new year the Sindh government has decided to impose a ban on pillion riding in Karachi from 6 pm today (Tuesday) and will stay in place until 6 am tomorrow.

A notification regarding the ban has been issued by the Sindh Home Department which also states that carrying licensed weapons during these days will also be prohibited.

Over 1,500 police forces will also be deployed at the adjacent areas of Clifton and sea view.

However, people living in that area can use these roads. He said action will also be taken against motorcyclists doing one-wheeling or driving motorcycles without silencers.
