LONDON: The drastic situation of delay for PIA passengers has now come to an end; as PIA flight after 55 hours was ready to take off Heathrow Airport ( Thursday).

The flight was supposed to take off on Tuesday night at 8:00 PM; but at the last minute the horrifying news of a problem occurred in a plane was given to the passenger with a news that the plane could not take off at any risk.

After 4 hours, the PIA management settled the passengers in a hotel. Ones who lived in London or had some acquaintance or family member were sent there. The passengers mostly were families and children who were purposely going to celebrate Christmas with their families and friends, but their plans were affected by this delay.

PIA spokesperson Mashhood Tajwar told the correspondent that the flight was delayed due to a “software issue related to control panel. Due to Christmas holidays, it was difficult to obtain local services and logistics support in London. Engineers along with parts to be replaced were sent from Pakistan. Due to shortage of fleet, no spare aircraft was available as rescue flight.”
