No loadshedding during Ramadan, claims Mukhtar

ISLAMABAD: After making so many promises, Minster for Water and Power Ahmed Mukhtar on Saturday claimed to end loadshedding during the month of Ramadan.

Also said that electric supply will smoothly be carried on from today.

Talking to media, Mukhtar said "The way PPP government handling the power crisis issue must be appreciated".

He said that demand of energy has increased due to rising temperature.

Mukhtar said, “We will achieve the level of demand by generating more electricity,” adding, “We will provide relief to the general public during Ramadan.” He said President Asif Ali Zardari had issued directives to this effect.

In his routine statements, The minister said the government was taking all possible steps to provide relief to the common man and all available resources were being utilised to achieve the objectives.

Mukhtar said the PPP government would continue to work for the welfare of the people.
