Govt has turned NA into a rubber stamp: Ch Nisar
ISLAMABAD: The Leader of Opposition in the National Assembly Chaudhary Nisar Ali Khan has said that the government is pursuing the policy of turning the parliament into a rubber stamp due to its inferior policies.
In a statement issued from the National Assembly Nisar said that Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz would stage a strong protest during the assembly session. The government would be facing an effective and strong protest from the opposition next week, he said.
Nisar said that the government has made Pakistan a laughing stock across the world by restoring the NATO supply by disregarding the resolutions of the parliament.
The rulers have make it evident from their character that they only want to protest self interests, Nisar said adding that they are busy trying protecting the president's wealth instead of solving the problems of the masses.
Nisar said that PML (N) would oppose any constitutional adventurism against the Supreme Court with all its might.
The rulers lacking the required two-third majority could not get any constitution amendment passed, he added.
