Dual Posts held: LHC asks Zardari to quit one post before Sep 5

LAHORE: The Lahore High Court has ordered President Zardari to quit one of the two posts held by the PPP Co-Chairman on Wednesday.

The Court further indicated that if the orders would not be met,  contempt proceedings would be undertaken in the future. The High Court 3-member bench headed by Justice Umar Ata Bandiyal was hearing the "contempt of court" case against Zardari.

The appeal has stated that the Court had ordered to finish political activities within the President House and had also expected that the President would vacate one of the posts currently held.

According to the appeal failure to implement the above said has resulted in a "contempt of court case" to be initiated against the President.
