ISLAMABAD: Raja Pervaiz Ashraf has been declared Pakistan's 25th Prime Minster on Friday.

The PPP candidate grabbed 211 votes to become the Prime Minister of Pakistan.

Opposing leader, Sardar Mehtab Abbasi, on the other hand was able to grab 89 votes only.

President Asif Ali Zardari congratulated Raja Pervaiz over his election as the new PM of Pakistan. "The victory of Raja Pervaiz Ashraf as the new PM displays the nation's belief over democracy," added Zardari.
