Makhdoom Shahabuddin to be apprehended by ANF
ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister candidate, Makhdoom Shahabuddin may be arrested by the Anti Narcotics Forces (ANF), Aaj News reported on Wednesday.
The recently announced PM candidate is wanted by the ANF in the famous ephedrine case involving former Prime Minster's son, Ali Musa Gilani.
According to Aaj News, Makhdoom Shahabuddin was wanted by the ANF because of his involvement in the ephedrine case during his tenure as Health Minister.
According to reports, Makhdoom Shahabuddin during his tenure as Health Minister, issued drug quota to Danas Pharma whereby Ali Musa Gilani enjoyed the major benefit of the transaction.
"Makhdoom Shahabuddin was to appear in the ANF headquarter both yesterday and today by 6 pm, but since he has not appeared, ANF has finally decided to take action against this by arresting the former Health Minister," stated an ANF official.
