Shoaib Akhtar eyeing a comeback for T20 World Cup
World's fastest bowler Shoaib Akhtar, who had announced his retirement from international cricket after the ODI World Cup in India last year is rumored to be coming out of retirement so that he can be a part of Pakistan squad for the Twenty 20 World Cup.
According to a local news channel, Shoaib Akhtar is expected to make an important announcement tomorrow, regarding his comeback into Twenty 20 cricket.
The Twenty 20 world cup is scheduled to be played later this year in Sri Lanka.
Rumor has it, that the Rawalpindi-Express might be looking back at his decision to retire and could possibly announce a return in Twenty20 cricket. Akhtar who had announced his retirement from international cricket after Pakistan lost to India in the semi-final of last ODI World Cup in India, which India later went on to win by defeating Sri Lanka in the final.
