Shahid Afridi hints towards quitting ODIs

KARACHI: Renowned Pakistani all-rounder, Shahid Afridi, hinted towards quitting One Day International 50 over format of cricket on Tuesday.

Shahid Afridi returned back home after playing the T20 and the ODI series within Sri Lanka. The Pakistani team lost the ODI series and Shahid Afridi, along with many other senior players, were criticized for their poor performance in the ODIs.

"I would consult my elders before considering the decision to quit ODI," stated Afridi upon his arrival in Pakistan. The Pakistani veteran further added that he would quit ODIs if suggested to quit the 50 over format.

With respect to T20 cricket, Afridi stated that he would continue playing the shorter format until he deems appropriate.

The former Pakistani skipper remained silent over the captaincy issue but added that senior players were really pivotal towards creating a balanced team for the 2015 World Cup.
