Paramedics observe hunger strike to press their demands

HYDERABAD: The office bearers of Pakistan Paramedical Staff Association Badin and Hyderabad Chapters as well as Liaquat University Hospital Wing Tuesday went on hunger strike here in front of Hyderabad Press Club for acceptance of the demands of paramedics of Sindh.

Those who went on hunger strike included Allah Dino, Zahid Hussain Thebo, Fazal Ellahi, Karam Ali Shah, Muhammad Hanif Soomro, Muhammad Khan Junejo, Ali Khan Khoso, Muhammad Bakhsh, Ahmed Soomro, Abdul Karim Bhatti, Muhammad Usman, Akbar Memon and Ali Haider Abbasi from Badin Chapter, Muhammad Ali Chandio, Abdul Hameed Noonari and Arshad Arain from Hyderabad Chapter and Abdul Hameed Jatoi and Akhtar Ali Abbasi from Liaquat University Hospital Wing of Pakistan Parmedical Association.

These office bearers went on strike following the acceptance of demands of the provision of timescale to over 300 employees, Health Professional Allowance, Rural Allowance, Emergency Allowance and Hard Work Allowance and appointment of the children of paramedics on sons and daughters quota.

They have demanded of the provincial government to accept their genuine demands and maintained that their hunger strike will continue till acceptance of the demands.
