Spent over Rs340 million on CJ's son for case settlements: Malik Riaz

Owner of Bahria Town Housing Scheme, Malik Riaz will be submitting his written statement in the Supreme Court today, Aaj News reported.

According to a local newspaper Express, in his statement, Malik claims that he had sent Chief Justice's son, Arsalan Iftikhar, on two separate trips to London. One with the family and the other with a friend. He said that all expenses of the trip were paid by him in exchange for Dr. Arsalan's word that he will settle the Bahria Town cases going on in his father's court.

Claiming that he even payed for the Range Rover car rented out for Arsalan Iftikhar's comfort and convenience in London, Malik said that Arsalan Iftikhar had "promised" him help in settling the Bahria Town cases, but has not gotten any kind of help in return for all the money spent.

He also mentioned that he had paid Arsalan Iftikhar over Rs340 million in cash on several occasions.

In attempt to remove any thoughts of a hidden conspiracy, he clearly stated that his statement and the agreement between him and Arsalan Iftikhar has no connection to either the Prime Minister, the President or any other political figure.
