Nadal ousts Ferrer to reach French Open final

PARIS:Defending champion, Rafael Nadal, easily defeated World no. six David Ferrer 6-2, 6-2, 6-1 to reach the final of Roland Garros 2012. It took the jubilant Spaniard to finish the match in 1 hr 46 minutes on Friday. This was the first semi-final of the French Open.

Ferrer, who outplayed Andy Murray, seemed to play an ordinary match against his counterpart. Nadal, after defeating fellow countryman, Ferrer, heads towards his seventh French Open title.

Nadal displayed an exceptional game, something that his counterpart was unable to answer. Nadal continued his excellent run within the Roland Garros and won the semi-final without dropping a single set.

In the final, Nadal will face the winner of the other semi-final which is to be played between Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic.

Nadal has won all the 15 sets he has played at the Roland Garros this year in Paris. With this exceptional form, Nadal's supporters suggest that the Spaniard should be handed over the French Open title without wasting any time.
