MUMBAI: Actor Apoorva Agnihotri along with his actresses wife Shilpa Aghnihotri, were nabbed by police following a police raid at a rave party at a Mumbai sub-urban hotel on Sunday night. Police are reported to have raided the place after receiving information that drugs were being used at the party.

Indian cricketer Rahul Sharma and South African Wayne Parnell were the other notable stars to be arrested during the police raid. According to reports, 96 people were arrested including the celebrities. 38 ladies and 58 males were arrested during the raid. The women arrested were mainly reported to be foreign nationals.

The Aghnihotris later talking to a news channel said that "they did not do any drugs, they were just there to chill with friends".

"We rarely go to a party and this was after a long time that we had gone out together. And this is what happened. How are we supposed to differentiate between safe and unsafe parties," said Shilpa Agnihotri

The couple were later taken to a hospital for their blood samples but the actress was disappointed with the procedure.

"The cops were really supportive but what hurt me the most was that the hospital staff was not supportive at all. My blood sample was taken but wasn't labelled for almost 45 minutes," stated the TV actress.

Shilpa is sure that they would come out clean of the case.
