Core commanders conference to discuss Pak-US ties and NATO issue
RAWALPINDI: According to sources, a core commanders conference has been scheduled for Wednesday evening in Rawalpindi. The conference has been scheduled to discuss a collaboration between Pakistan, United States and the NATO troops.
The core commanders conference has been reported to discuss the issues of non payment of US coalition support funds, possible resumption of NATO supplies and the country's law and order situation.
Sources have reported that the core commanders conference would be presided over by the Chief of Army Staff COAS, Ashfaq Pervez Kayani. The conference would also overview the issues and the decisions of the meeting held yesterday between the President and the Prime Minister.
The meeting, held yesterday, between the President and the Prime Minister comprised of COAS Kayani, DG ISI Lieutenant General Zaheer ul Islam, Hina Rabbani Kharr, Federal Ministers for Finance, Defence, Interior and other Federal secretaries.
