ISLAMABAD: The appointments of new Secretary Narcotics and Director General for the Federal Investigation Authority (FIA) were halted on Saturday.

DG FIA, Javed Iqbal, and Secretary Narcotics, Zafar Iqbal Haq, were both issued notificfaion with respect to their new posts. Their respective notifications had been issued yesterday but were not properly implemented since their joining had been stopped.

Sources have reported that Establishment division halted the implementation of the notification of the New Secretary Narcotics.

Zafar Iqbal Haq has been further instructed to serve his currently held post.
