Nawaz, Shabaz address crowd on Labor day

LAHORE: Nawaz and Shahbaz Sharif addressed a public gathering in Lahore on Tuesday afternoon. While addressing the public on Labor day, the PML (N) leaders distributed flats and handed over keys to different people.

Shahbaz Sharif was the first one to address the public gathering. The Chief Minister Punjab formally announced to raise pay scale of local labour from Rs. 7000 to Rs. 9000. He further stated that the PPP government has proved useless for the people of Pakistan by increasing their poverty.

Shahbaz stated that the government has increased the price of both electricity and fuel. He announced that the curse of load shedding would be eradicated once the PML (N) takes over the government of Pakistan.

Nawaz Sharif was next to speak to the public gathering. The PML (N) leader stated that their government had always cared for the poor. He stated this while pointing towards the different schemes that he introduced during his tenures as Prime Minister.

"Unemployment and poverty has risen during the 4 year tenure of the PPP, I would have supported the PPP if they would have worked in the interest of the country and the people of Pakistan" said Nawaz. He further added that he would have even supported them in the upcoming election if Pakistan would have prospered during PPP's 4 year term.

While praising his previous government, Nawaz stated that unemployment was at the lowest level during his party's term in the government, he further elaborated this by stating that laborers did not have to starve in his tenure and they received ample income.

"Pakistan is moving towards anarchy", Nawaz stated. "We have tolerated severe nagging from both the government and the media as well", he further added.

While talking about the PPP's government, Nawaz added, "The PPP is trying to bag votes by talking things that they will never commit. They have never been able to fulfill their false promises regarding food, clothing and shelter".

Nawaz, while talking about Pervez Musharraf, said, "The PPP did not have the courage to grab and try Musharraf in the court of law".
