ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari made a recent reshuffle within the cabinet on Wednesday by appointing Farooq H. Naek as the new law minister. The ex-chairman Senate took over the office from Maula Bux Chandio, who had been sitting in the office since his appointment on 16 April 2011.

Mr Naek will take his oath at the President House today.

Sources earlier indicated that Mr. Maula Bux Chandio had resigned from his Senate seat, this report was not acknowledged by the former law minister until Senate Chairman Mr Nayyar Bukhari's confirmation.
