Quetta: JUP leader Mohammad Qasim shot dead
Jamiat Ulema-e-Pakistan leader and Balochistan Chief, Maulwi Mohammad Qasim was shot dead on his way to Friday prayers in Quetta.
Unidentified men riding on motorcycles attacked the religious leader when he was on his way to head the Jummah Salah (Friday prayers) Â in a mosque on Sariab Road in Quetta.
After the incident, the situation in Quetta is described as tense, as incidents of targeted killings of religious clerics have increased during the past few months.
