Several people staged protests against operations being carried out by the police and rangers in search for criminals and outlaws in Lyari, today.

The demonstrators clashed with the police during the protests.

The protest was demonstrated in Lyari's famous Lee Marekt where several men wearing masks clashed with the police and stoned police vehicles which provoked police to resort to aerial-firing and teargas.

The people of Lyari labeled the operations as a one sided and unfair act, targeting the people of Lyari only.

However, after several hours of disrupt, Lyari has come to a quiet stand still while heavy deployment of law enforcers still patrol the area.
