Mansoor Ijaz: Unknown caller threatened daughter’s life

The recently renowned Pakistani-American businessman Mansoor Ijaz, who is also the key witness in Memogate controversy, has received death threats from an unidentified number of abducting and slaughtering his daughter. Aaj News reported.

Ijaz son who received the threats on his cell phone first informed his father about the threatening messages coming from an unknown number, after which the police took the cell phone as evidence and kicked off an investigation as to who is the caller.

Ijaz who is currently being questioned in London by a judicial commission of Pakistan has received several death threats a few months ago, when he announced that he will be visiting Pakistan to testify in the Memogate scandal.

After receiving threats to his life, he took back his decision to come to Pakistan.

Hussain Haqqani's counsel Zahid Bukhari who has recently left for London to cross-question Ijaz, said that the whole scandal is basically trivial, as public money is being wasted on international hearings when nothing is going to be the outcome of this case.
