According to sources, eight people were killed in a US drone attack on a moving vehicle in the Barmal, South Waziristan on Tuesday, near the Afghan border.

The attack took place when unmanned drones shot approximately four missiles on the vehicle.

Pak-US relationship has been facing ups and downs specially for the past six months. Where Pakistan publicly opposes the drone strikes and claims that it is only proving to be counter productive, U.S stands steady on its claim that Pakistan has allowed the drone strikes to end militancy in tribal areas.

The border area is known for militants trying to cross it to attack NATO troops.
