India wants Pakistan to take action against terrorists for better relations
In a joint session of the Indian Parliament the the President of India expressed commitment to resolving all "outstanding" Â issues with Pakistan through the path of dialogue.
Indian President Pratibha Patil said, that talks shall continue only if Pakistan is willing to take  “credible action against terrorist groups and the related infrastructure on its soil.â€
The Indian president said that Government has been “pursuing a policy of promoting peace and cooperation in India’s immediate neighborhood†in efforts to strengthen the country's national security and accomplish its social and economic goals.
On the issue of Kashmir, she said that due progress has been seen regarding this issue in the past year. She said that organisation which are ready to "abjure the path of violence" and start dialogue are welcomed by her Government. “My government has always been willing to enter into dialogue with any group willing to abjure the path of violence. It is encouraging that a number of organisations have come forward seeking resolution of their grievances in a peaceful manner,†she said.
