Gave bribe money to Nawaz Sharif myself: Younis Habib
Younis Habib Waraich, the central figure in the scandalous Mehrangate case and the former chief of Mehran Bank who distributed bribes among anti-PPP politicians, has revealed that bribe money was handed to Pakistan Muslim League(N) chief Nawaz Sharif, by himself, personally.
While speaking to a local news channel, he claimed that Rs 2.5 million were given to Shahbaz Sharif VIA Telegraphic transfer (TT), in late September, 1993.
He said that large amounts of money was also handed over to Aftab Khan Sherpao. He said that he supported the PPP in 1993 election and to atone his unfair actions against the PPP in 1990.
He also said that he had supported religious elements against Nawaz Sharif in an attempt to correct the “wrong-doingsâ€.
He was of the view that the money was given in terms of bribery and he knew well it was big sin.
