Contempt case hearing adjourned till march 7

The hearing of Prime Minister contempt case was adjourned till March 07.

while the apex court summoned Secretary Cabinet division Nargis Sethi as a witness on the next hearing.
Under the head of Justice Nasirul Mulk, the seven-member bench resumed the hearing today.

During today's proceedings, defence counsel Aitzaz Ahsan requested the court to summon law and defence secretaries and former law minister Babar Awan to record their statements as court witnesses.

He said the prime minister never intended to act in contempt of court adding that he was not wrong in acting on the Law Ministry's advice.

Earlier, on Monday aitzaz submitted an application in the Supreme Court requesting it to allow witnesses in the contempt of court case.

The application stated that the Prime Minister be allowed to bring in three people as his witnesses, Defence Secretary Nargis Sethi, former law minister Babar Awan and Secretary Law Mohammad Masood Chisti.
