Punjab Gov’t is rigging the by-polls : PPP leader
The Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Punjab chapter has expressed their anger and blamed the PML-N lead Punjab Government for rigging the by-elections.
Opposition Leader Punjab Assembly Raja Riaz said that the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) workers were meddling with the polling process out of fear of losing to the Peoples Party. He accused PML-N workers of firing gunshots at a PPP worker who is injured after the incident and moved to a nearby hospital.
He requested his party workers to remain calm and patient and said that PPP is bound to win the by-elections.
While visiting a polling station earlier Raja Riaz expressed his dissatisfaction over the low standards of security which he said were ‘inadequate’ security arrangements.
