A bomb explosion killed at least 13 people and wounded over 50 others in Peshawar on Thursday.

The blast occurred near the bus stand at Peshawar-Kohat road; when a car parked at the terminal exploded with a bang.

The bomb disposal squad said that 45 kilogramme explosives was used in the blast.

Talking to Aaj news, the Information Minister KP, Mian Ifthikhar Husain confirmed the casualties and injured people, adding that 45kg explosive was used in the car bomb blast.

The injured were shifted to the Lady Riding hospital and City Hospital Kohat. Security forces cordoned off the area and further investigation was underway.
