Musharraf to be arrested VIA Interpol: Rehman Malik
During the session of Sindh Assembly, Minister Rehman Malik announced that a red notice will be issued through inter police agency (Interpol) to arrest the former army chief and President of Pakistan Pervez Musharraf.
He said this briefing the provincial assembly about the assassination of Benazir Bhutto.
He informed the assembly that Pervez Musharraf did not provide the promised security to Benazir Bhutto before her arrival. He even tried to stop her by threatening to “face consequences†upon return to Pakistan.
While updating the MPAs the Minister informed that an arrest was made after a long 18 month gap, regarding a SIM being reactivated which was relevant to a phone call at the time of the incident. He said that the culprit was arrested and with his help vital details like the information of the bomber’s stay at a particular seminary and the execution plan. From planner to executioner everybody’s identities have come into light.
The minister expressed that he wished the case will come to a rational close soon.
