The federal government has appointed the now former IG Punjab Javed Iqbal as the new DG FIA.
His designation as IG will now be given to Haji Habibur Rehman as the ne Inspector General of Punjab police.

Haji Habibur Rehman's tenure will be complete as the SSP in Lahore and Peshawar in 11 month's time.

He had also served as CCPO Lahore during Governor Rule.

Meanwhile DG FIA Tehseen Shah has been appointed as DG National Police Bureau.
